Anything and everything you take into the reserve with you when going on hikes and exploration must come out again.

Pools: Starry Starry Night Route 62 has unfenced pools. Guests and their children use these pools strictly at their own risk, and young children, whether swimming or not must, therefore, be supervised by at least one suitably capable adult at all times..

Hot tub / KolKol: Overlooking the striking Little Karoo valley at Starry Starry Night Route 62 with views that stretch waaaaay into the distance, a soak in our wood-fired KolKol hot tub is a hugely popular experience. Please reserve beforehand at the fee quoted when booking (which includes wood and cleaning before/after). You will have exclusive use of the pool area for the whole evening of your booking. Because of the high risk of fire (and to ensure you have the best experience), only trained Starry Starry Night staff are allowed to prepare the KolKol.

Maximum 2 dogs when staying in Nova StarDome

Any dog poo around the homestead area and on any trails must be bagged and removed.

Under no circumstances must dogs interfere with local wildlife and chase or kill other animals or birds. Dogs are not allowed to swim in the pools or climb onto or lie on couches and beds. Please help us keep our gorgeous 100% pure cotton sheets bright and white.

Strictly no dogs or pets are allowed at Starry Starry Night Cape Town.

Access road: You do not need a 4x4 to access Starry Starry Night Route 62. Our access road is via a 2km long access road that consists of a combination of gravel and concrete sections. We are continuously improving the road surface, and while it is certainly no highway, our guests have had no problem reaching us even with super compact cars like VW up! and compact cars like Ford Fiesta, but it is not suitable for very low-slung sports cars. Just take it slow, and enjoy the adventure of travelling to this beautifully remote corner.

The only place you are allowed to smoke is on the deck outside the cottages or at the fire-pit area. Starry Starry Night Route 62 is a smoke-free reserve as we are located in a very high fire-risk area, and must do everything we can to prevent the start of a fire. Thank you for your understanding.
